patch-2.5.4 on hp-ux 10.20 can't find patch in patch-file

hello squid-users

running hp-ux 10.20

i want to install a patch for my squid-2.2.stable5. i read the faq and i saw
i need the patch-programm which i downloaded from http://hpux.asknet.de/ ,
the software porting and archive-center for hp-ux. installing the software
goes right.

when i try to install the patch i get an message from patch

patch < ../squid-patches/da-da-di-da-da-da.patch
Hmm... I can't seem to find a patch in there anywhere.

what's wrong here and what can i do.

i already have the original gnu-patch and i tried to install it but an error
occured during make
./configure is o.k.
make -> i get an error
        gcc -c -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -Ded_PROGRAM=\"/usr/bin/ed\" -I. -I. -g -O2

How can i fix this problem. the gcc-compiler is from the
software-porting-center (i have no hp-ux ansi-c-comiler) and i comiled the
who squid with gcc and it works! i have binutils and sed installed.
