NAT on linux

hi,

sorry, this question isnt primary about squid.

-----does anybody know how to set up NAT on linux? (or any good links
about it?)-----

my excuse for asking this question here is that i need it to set up a
linux-box with firewall and squid. if i cant get NAT to work they wont
use squid either. so if you help me with NAT there will be one more
squid installation out there...isnt that reason enough?
