is it normal for squid ???

 i'm wondering if it normal for squid to consume 200 MB of ram at first day of
 work ? and eat all the memory within 3 days. i have 512 MB if ram . my
setting is
 
 cache_mem 32 MB
 cache_dir ufs /squid/cache 2000 32 256
 

 how can i fix this ? i already use -enable-dlmalloc but no different .
 it's run on redhat 6.2 original kernel
