[SQU] Compression + Squid --> Higher Bandwidth

Henrik,

Following up the topic about TCP Header compression, I found an interesting symptom. Yesterday, I increase the squid memory size to be 80 MB (total physical RAM is 256 MB).

My MRTG reported that traffic on serial of router reach up to 16,9 KByte ~ 17,2 KByte. It is an abnormal situation because my link is only 128 Kbit that means 16 KByte. I can understand if the Ethernet port reach up to 20 KByte (because it read the cache).

Do you have any comment? Thx

Best Regards,

Awie
