Hi,

Try compiling with --enable-time-hack, then with
--disable-time-hack and see if either of them squash the
problem.

You might also consider upgrading to squid-2.4.stable1 and apply
the patches found at http://www.squid-cache.org/Versions/v2/2.4/bugs/ -
it might be one of those.
