The easiest and most stable approach is using Samba-3 to connect the Squid
server to the NT domain. This also allows the use of NTLM login which
makes MSIE to transparently log in to the proxy without requesting the
user for login+password again much in the same manner as when the user is
connecting to a network share.

winbind.
