Hi squid users,

anybody successfully used samba to solve the username/password pop-up
missing problem caused by NTLM?

i'm running a proxy server with squid-2.5S10, and just installed
samba-2.0.21c, may i know how to configure the smb.conf? the documentation
in squid-cache FAQ gives someth like

workgroup = mydomain
password server = myPDC
security=domain
winbind uid = 10000-20000
winbind gid = 10000-20000
winbind use default domain = yes

i've no idea what to set as 'mydomain', 'myPDC'...

and after entering the command /usr/local/samba/bin/wbinfo -t. i got

checking the trust secret via RPC calls failed
error code was (0x0)
could not check secret

is this error caused by incorrect configuration in smb.conf?

anybody has any idea? thanks in advance!
