DNS problems

OK,

        I've read all the messages, applied a "patch" and done everything
I can possibly do. The "dnsserver" that came with squid-1.1.9 does not
cut it. I am having the same problems as quite a few other people. An IP
number works fine. A domain name doesn't.

        Is there any hard solution to this yet or are people still playing
with it?

        Someone, please help....
