Strange problem with Internet Explorer

I'm trying to access http://193.14.218.7/

This page is supposed to give me an authentication-window.

Using MSIE without squid, no problem. I tried this with 3.02
and 4beta of MSIE.

Using MSIE with squid 1.1.3 or squid 1.1.8, I don't get the
authentication-window, just the message "Error: Access is Denied".

Using Netscape 3.01, no problem on either side of squid.

Any ideas why MSIE fails inside squid? Is the response from
193.14.218.7 somehow changed by squid in some subtle way that
upsets MSIE?
