If every UDP_HIT_OBJ causes a disk access every time, then a caching
SCSI adapter like DPT PM2144W + RC4040 module and some memory for disk
cache could help to solve the problems. I've experienced with this
controller in several O/S and the performance boost in disk intensive
tasks is noticeable. But caution, the problems could come from other
places, like using a file system with 1024 bytes for inode (a REAL
memory hog)
Un saludo.
