Does Squid continue to d/l a file even if user breaks connection?

Would Squid continue downloading a file (say from an FTP server) should
the user who is accessing it terminate the download prematurely or would
Squid simply store the partially downloaded file or not at all ?

Would this also apply should the download from the remote server that
Squid is accessing from expires (due to slow link) ?
