hi people:
the logic implemented by the connect-retry-patch is very useful within a cache.
the documentation for this patch states:
"My initial ire at Microsoft was somewhat lessened when I discovered
that the RFC permits servers to simply refuse connections if they're
busy, rather than returning an error message to the request."
does anyone have a pointer to where abouts and in what HTTP RFC it states
that servers can simply refuse connections.
i've gone through RFC 2068, and the http-working-group archives at
http://www.findmail.com/listsaver/http-wg/ with no success.
cheers,
lincoln.
