Hi,
thankyou both for your reply to my earlier question on Transparent
proxying on DEC. After looking at the proposed screend program, it only
seems to allow for the acceptance or denial of packets, NOT the redirection.
To my way of thinking redirection is neccessary for transparent proxying and
therefore it is not possible to used screend in this instance.
Have I missed something with screend? If not, I believe my easiest
solution is to set up another box between my router and proxy running IP Filter
and to redirect all http traffic from the router through this new box.
Arshad, you mention "preparing documents regarding transparent Proxy on DEC",
do you have a working transparent proxy solution on DEC and if so can you
tell more about it?
Thanks again for your help and comments
