quick_abort ???

hi,
there should be something wrong at squid quick_abort feature....
I mean there it writes that
 quick_abort min-kbytes percent max-kbytes

well the min-kbytes is, if there is less then min-kbytes remaining then
the transfer
continues also max-kbytes is, if there is less than max-kbytes remaining
the transfer
continues!!! are not they mean the same thing???

and also if squid does not know how many kbytes left?
also is this effective on just ftp or it effects http too?
