How much those loops affect the performance? What percent of requests are
ending up in a loop? How many loops are actually caused by digests? Can the
#loops be decreased by tuning refresh patterns?
I bet that the benefits from digests justify a few loops. Besides, to make
digests work better, we need a lot of people to actually use them. You did
not suggest to turn FTP support off when it was buggy. :-/
