Thanks for all the response. I've found out the root of the problem. It's
because I've set my proxy to use a visible name of p7, rather then palo7 in
the squid.conf. As a result, the request became
GET http://p7.pacific.net.sg/squid-internal-periodic/store_digests
HTTP/1.0
Since p7.pacific.net.sg is non-existent, the get request failed. If I were
to remove the visible name, then everything is fine. Maybe we should put
this into the FAQ? If I were to continue using p7 as the visible name, is
there any work around?
