Altering pages

Hi!

I'm trying to modify Squid for a science project involving human
knowledge management. Specifically, I need to do a "Search-and-Replace"
in the HTML-code that is sent to the client from Squid, regardless of
whether the document is cached or not.

Problem is, I'm not THAT good at C programming to figure out how Squid
works ;)

Has anyone out there done this?
Could someone point me to the right .c file to alter and perhaps give a
few tips on how to do this?
