What hardware are you running? Is it the Linux/Pentium combo that I
see in your headers, or is this something else?
From the discussion I've seen so far on the list, the only sites that
seem to show CPU-bound behavior in squid are those running complex
filters or redirectors. However, some Alpha-based systems with a very
high "tick" rate reportedly showed some odd behaviors.
