Hello there,
I have a little problem that I need
clarification on.
I've got a Cisco, IOS12.1(6), running WCCP to a Immunix (RedHat 6.2) box
with squid 2.3Stable1, ip_gre.
On a regular configuration (no route cache), I have squid working
fine.
Now, I need to do traffic accounting, hence I activated NetFlow to export
traffic statistics.
>From that moment on, I see strange errors on the clients, Connection reset
by peer / remote connection closed etc. in the middle of a request.
However, its sporadic, as in, happens every 50 requests or so. I couldnt
establish a specific pattern.
Further enabling CEF means web requests working again, accounting working
again, but proxy redirection stops (Total packets redirected 0).
The cisco release notes for WCCP2 read "CEF implemented" - does that
mean that CEF and WCCP1 are mutually exclusive ? (In the squid list
archives, I even found a remark that CEF is recommended). So what
is true here ?
Furthermore, are there any known interactions with NetFlow that could cause
the behaviour described above, and is there a known cure ?
Thanks for your help.
Mario
