It works for me now, having it configured like this :
Target[cacheClients]: cacheClients&cacheClients:public@localhost:3401
MaxBytes[cacheClients]: 1000
Title[cacheClients]: Number of Clients
Options[cacheClients]: growright, integer, nopercent, nolegend, gauge
PageTop[cacheClients]: <h2>Number of clients accessing cache @
localhost</h2>
XSize[cacheClients]: 400
YSize[cacheClients]: 100
kilo[cacheClients]: 1000
YLegend[cacheClients]: # clients
ShortLegend[cacheClients]: clients/s
