Please use the Squid-users mailinglist for Squid questions unless you have
a commercial support contractwith MARA Systems AB.

What I can tell is that this message is not from Squid. The quoted error
message does not exists in the Squid sources, or any of the helpers
shipped with Squid.

For anyone to be able to help you further you must include addidional
deatils of your setup such as

  a) What OS are you using
  b) Which version of Squid
  c) How have you compiled Squid
  d) Which auth helper are you attempting to use?
  e) What is being said in cache.log on the first attempt?
