HI list...
I have an unusual issue with smb_auth.
I am changing an old squid 2.3stable4 and samba-2.0.7-21ssl running on
redhat 7.0 with smb_auth authentication to a new server running redhat 8.0
and squid 2.5stable4 and samba-2.2.8.
Before, I have installed and configured squid and smb_auth without any
troubles. But right now, I have installed squid and samba from sources like
i used to do. When I test smb_auth against my domain it works fine, squid
runs fine too. The problem is when I configure the authentication program, i
have checked the changes on squid 2.5 and my configuratin looks like this:
auth_param basic program /usr/local/bin/smb_auth -W domain -U a.b.c.d
auth_param basic children 5
auth_param basic realm Squid proxy-caching web server
auth_param basic credentialsttl 2 hours
...
acl domainusers proxy_auth REQUIRED
http_access allow domainusers
When I try to authenticate, i receive the classic pop-up window... I write
my user, password, but it doesn`t work.
The access.log file register this:
1065567461.461 1402 10.41.9.11 TCP_DENIED/407 1735 GET <URL> user NONE/-
text/html
Any ideas.

Juan Diego Rodríguez Quintero
