[squid-users] Https timeouts with transparent proxy from Stephen torri on 2004-02-01 (squid-users)

I am using squid 2.5.4 with iptables 1.2.9 to provide transparent proxy.
What I noticed is that with konqueror 3.1.5 or mozilla 1.5 is that they
cannot do any type of https requests. For example attempting to log into
bank website for online banking has the https request timeout. If I
remove https from the iptables rule to forward that traffic to squid it
works. Is there a FAQ entry or some documentation I failed to read?
