Dear All,

I have been using COSS in my FreeBSD 6.0 (amd64) server since 3 weeks
now. So far, I have not faced any major problems. In the beginning while
implementing the COSS storage system, the median service time was
quite high. But I guess it could be due to the cache being built
initially.

Now that it's been almost 3 weeks and the COSS storage is about 75%
full, my squid proxy server is running quite well. The median service
time has been quite low when Squid is serving about 100 requests per
second.

Since it's only been 3 weeks of testing COSS storage, I guess it's
still too early to call it stable and problem free. However for now,
it's working fine.

I have the following entries in my squid.conf:

cache_dir coss /coss1 10240 max-size=131072 max-stripe-waste=16384
block-size=1024
cache_dir coss /coss2 10240 max-size=131072 max-stripe-waste=16384
block-size=1024

cache_dir diskd /var/squid/diskd/cache1 10240 16 128 Q1=72 Q2=64

I request everyone to advise me on the above configuration for further
improvements.
