This has happened to me personally trying to download windows live messenger from: http://download.live.com/?wa=wsignin1.0
also tried to download asterisk from:
http://downloads.asterisk.org/pub/telephony/asterisk/releases/asterisk-1.6.1.11.tar.gz
Also had some clients tell me the same thing but, from different sites.
