Does HHTPS traffic go through squid or not?

Do you mean we have no control over HTTPS with Squid?

You can't do it, since HTTPS traffic is tunneled through squid, can't
be filtered or cached.

In order to filter HTTPS you will need proxy your HTTPS traffic (ssl
bumping), isntead. I'm not sure you want to do that.
