[squid-users] 1 proxy doesnt work while others do

Hi

I have several squid boxes on LAN running through Checkpoint firewall
. Sometimes 1 stops serving .

- I can login to that proxy with putty.
- I can see that the squid server process is running (also service is
restarted)
- I cant ping the pingable IP addresses through the shell .

Since other proxies which working through the same firewall are
working , people easily blame the problem. after stopping the
firewall services

and starting and waiting a while the proxy starts pinging the net and
start serving again. I dont know if someone is playing with something
(on network, on proxy etc).

So what do you think that issue can be , what to check , which logs to
look up etc?
