You may have some luck with WCCP by enabling

However, the kid registration and IPC shm_open() issues are more
difficult. I don't have any clues here at this point. The
http://wiki.squid-cache.org/Features/SmpScale wiki page itself does not
have much to say on the "no such file" error coming out of it. We know
about permissions errors and strange "invalid parameter" problems on
MacOS - but not "no such file".
