squid1.2beta20 using LOTS of memory!!

Hi,

I've just found, that after running squid1.2 for a couple of months with no
problems, it suddenly slowed down incredibly.
these are the messages i get in cache.log.

clientGetHeadersForIMS: storeClientCopy failed for
